About Me

Hello, and welcome to my blog, Around the World Foodie! My name is Robert and I’m here to talk about my favorite topic and passion. Food! I love to cook, and I really love to eat. If you’re like me, you think about food on the way to work, when you’re out with friends; pretty much anytime of the day. I’ve even dreamt about food. 

I’ve also been incredibly lucky to be able to travel. I’ve been to some really amazing places both here in the U.S. and outside as well. Meeting people from around the world and learning about different cultures has changed me in profound ways. 

I have a 9 to 5, and it pays the bills. I also got my degree in the Culinary Arts program at the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE), and have held jobs in a few professional kitchens. I’ve gotten to work with some really amazing chefs, cook delicious food and make some fantastic friends. 

This blog is a combination of my two great loves, food and travel. But the passion I have for food and cooking is above all else in my life, except of course for my family. So while i’ll write about my journeys, the people I meet and the food we eat, this blog will always remain food-centric.
